Museo Thyssen is embarking on a critical restoration project: the complete conservation and technical study of Canaletto's iconic painting 'The Piazza San Marco in Venice' and is asking the public for support. The painting has been digitally surveyed and divided into 1,000 parts so that interested supporters - starting at 35 Euros and up - can select the quadrant that most appeals to them, quite literally owning a part of the repair.
