About the Museum

Unpublished expositions, revelation of young talents and working with communities make the Paço das Artes a unique space of reference in the contemporary art scene. Created in the 1970s, the Paço das Artes is known for fostering the work of young artists, critics and curators through programs such as the Project Season, as well as holding exhibitions with strong names on the world art scene. The institution of the Culture Secretariat of the State of São Paulo, which has been headquartered for more than 20 years in the University City, is currently in the MIS.
