About the Museum

This 'temple to watchmaking', founded in 2001 by Philippe Stern, scion of the family that has owned the firm since 1932, is a four-storey archive of 500 years of haute horology. The watchmaker’s breathtaking achievements since its founding in 1839 are anchored in a presentation of masterpieces dating to the beginnings of mechanical timekeeping. Among the countless technical and aesthetic marvels are the earliest watch ever made, spectacular enamel miniatures and ingenious automata to delight both the eye and intellect.
