About the Museum
The Photographers' Gallery is the largest public gallery in London dedicated to photography. Founded in 1971, the gallery exhibits all forms of photography, from new and emerging talent, to historical archives and established artists in its specially-designed building in the heart of London's West End. Serving its founding mission, the gallery serves as a home for an international photographic community, and leads the way in championing photography as a vital art form and invaluable means of interpreting and understanding the world around us.
