Tim Marlow’s Must-See Museum Shows: December 2018

Zurich | Jerusalem | São Paulo | Miami

Four exhibitions opening this month bring defining artworks to a wider audience. Painter, poet and pacifist Oskar Kokoschka’s symbolic, expressionists images go on view in Zurich, while Jerusalem’s Israel Museum examines the Russian avant-garde and the moments in history that inspired its artists. Meanwhile, São Paulo puts artists centre stage to examine their history of self-portraiture, and the pioneering output of feminist-artist Judy Chicago hit Miami Beach just in time for Art Basel.
