The A+D Architecture and Design Museum in Los Angeles aims to engage a wide audience through its exhibitions, lectures and community outreach initiatives. “Not a museum with a capital M”, according to its late co-founder Stephen Kanner, it holds no permanent collection, and aims to explore design processes and progressive practice across architecture, urbanism and design through innovative programming. The museum is situated in the city’s historic Bradbury Building in the downtown Arts District.
