About the Museum
Situated near the Etangs d’Ixelles in Brussels, CAB is a contemporary art centre housed within a 1930s Art Deco warehouse designed in collaboration with architect Oliver Dwek. Eschewing the model of a formal museum or gallery, CAB’s mission is to provide a unique space for the promotion and exchange of Belgian and international contemporary art. It doesn’t feature a permanently displayed collection, instead programming at CAB takes the form of two guest-curated exhibitions each year, running from September to December and from April to June. Showcasing emerging artists, provoking dialogue and displaying work in situ that responds to the centre's individual architectural space are at the heart of the institution’s ethos.
