The Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA), established by art collector Kiran Nadar, is the first private museum of art exhibiting modern and contemporary works from India and the subcontinent. Since it opened in January 2010, the museum has held a rich programme of exhibitions, publications, educational and public outreach projects. The 34,000 sq ft museum space, has also held major retrospectives of seminal Indian artists such as Nalini Malani, Rameshwar Broota and Dayanita Singh. The permanent collection is a testimony to the development of Indian art and the talents of some of India’s foremost artists including S. H. Raza, K. G. Subramanyan and Ram Kumar.
