Kunstsammlung Robert Spreng

About the Museum

The collection was a gift from Basel-based photographer and art lover Robert Spreng to his hometown of Reiden in 1969. It comprises 160 works (oil paintings, water colours, collages, drawings, glass paintings and sculptures by 47 artists of the 20th century). The artists include Amiet, Coghuf, Brignoni, Barlach, Hindenlang, Moilliet, Scherer and Stöcklin. The collection constitutes a representative cross-section of Swiss art in the first half of the 20th century.
