About the Museum
Founded by Antoine de Galbert, a private collector and active figure on the French art scene, La Maison Rouge promotes different facets of contemporary creation through temporary exhibitions. With more than 1,000 square metres of exhibition space near the Bastille, it gives independent artists and curators full authority to explore the diversity of contemporary artistic experimentation and expression. La Maison Rouge offers three to six exhibitions each year, with solo shows alternating with thematic ones, which are often displayed alongside major international private collections. For each exhibition, La Maison Rouge publishes a series of books in production with Fage éditions; its bookstore, managed by Bookstorming, carries all types of contemporary art publications.
