About the Museum
Museu Calouste Gulbenkian serves as a perpetual homage to the memory of Calouste Gulbenkian. A defining mark in Portuguese museum architecture, the edifice of the museum is organised around two gardens with numerous tall picture windows that enable the visitor to enjoy both nature and art. The museum features Gulbenkian’s art collection, which is comprised of Asian, Classical, Renaissance, and European art. A particular highlight of the European collection is the French decorative arts of René Lalique.
