A pioneer of revolutionary modernism, Fernand Léger (1881-1955) worked tirelessly with directors, poets, choreographers, composers and architects. This first Belgian retrospective of the French artist since 1956 presents the fruit of these transdisciplinary collaborations. The audience will discover how Léger's impressive and contrasting work encouraged a whole generation of artists to seek beauty in a clear style with bright colors.
The exhibition "Fernand Léger. Le Beau est partout" (Fernand Léger. Beauty is Everywhere) was conceived and organized by the Center Pompidou-Metz in partnership with BOZAR, the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels. It was realized with the exceptional support of the Center Pompidou, National Museum of Modern Art - Center of industrial creation.
