Ryabushinsky Mansion (also known as the Gorky House-Museum) , writer Maxim Gorky's residence from 1931 to 1936, is a stunning example of art nouveau architecture, highlighted by a twisting marble staircase, stained glass roof and flowery mosaic and stucco decorations.
