Interior view, Schloss Köpenick

The Baroque palace of Köpenick in Berlin, constructed in the 17th century on a man-made island in the river Dahme, provides a striking home to works from the Kunstgewerbemuseum (Museum of Decorative Arts). Remarkable historic interiors complement treasures spanning the the 16th to the 18th centuries including tapestries, furniture, silverware and porcelain. Since 2004 the Schloss Köpenick has been used for the permanent exhibition ‘RoomArt’, showcasing the decorative arts of the renaissance, baroque and rococo periods.
