About the Museum
The Zehlendorf Museum of Local History (Heimatmuseum Zehlendorf) is housed in a schoolhouse built in 1828. There it shows a permanent exhibition on Zehlendorf history, which is supplemented by a variety of temporary exhibitions. Interested citizens as well as schools, offices, associations and associations receive information about their history. Former Zehlendorfer scattered around the world find each other again in this place. The archive collects the legacy of Zehlendorfer history, preserves it for future generations and forms the growing fund for exhibitions and homeland studies. Visitors can wander through the historical 19th century rooms and take an informative trip through Zehlendorf's eventful past all the way to its incorporation into greater Berlin in 1920.
